Hittech Wemac | Project Engineer
Location: Penang, Malaysia
In order to refill a vacant position, we are looking for a committed, as soon as possible – permanent and full time
You will be in charge to plan, execute and document new requests for quotations for machined parts and assemblies. You will liaise with Customers to interpret and determine customers’ requirements and translate them into a fabrication process plan. You will discuss with engineering, production and vendors on the best production strategy and determine the related costs. You will follow up with customers on orders, deliveries and coordinate the internal activities to achieve cost and delivery targets. You will initiate the first article process, brief the team on all required activities and communicate the plan to customers.
You are experienced in either operating CNC milling machines, programming CNC milling machines or in manual machining of parts. You are a personality with clear communication and the ability to get jobs done on time. Good command in written and spoken English is mandatory to communicate with our global customers and Head Quarter in the Netherlands. You possess at least a diploma in CNC Precision Engineering or related Engineering courses and you have two or more years working experience in similar fields/positions. Candidates with CNC machine programming, machining process control and technical knowledge in costing and cost calculation are preferred.
