Sharing manufacturability knowledge on April 16
This lightweight, high-accuracy titanium structure is initially produced by removing 90% by extensive milling. This product has successfully been transferred into a product realised through additive manufacturing. Our Partner, Norsk Titanium, manufactures a pre-shape made by Rapid Plasma Deposition (3Drpd)—a technology developed and qualified for aerospace. The final shape and accuracy are realised by milling at Hittech.
Koen Mentink from our Hittech Bihca B.V. company and Nick Mayer from Norsk Titanium will give a 30-minute presentation on April 16 in Veldhoven (NL) at the Manufacturing Technology Conference, explaining how they evolved from removing 180 kg of titanium chips to 20 kg from carrier structures.
The conference, organised by the Knowledge Sharing Centre, aims to bring together technicians from the design and manufacturing industry to share knowledge about manufacturability.
Register for our presentation from 11:30 – 12:00 on April 16 at the NH Conference Centre Koningshof, Locht 117, 5504 RM Veldhoven, via the link in the comments.
