With our new plant in Penang, Malaysia, we have more than doubled our Southeast Asian production capacity. ‘But we have also expanded our competencies,’ says Marco Verloop, Hittech Group COO, explaining how a vertical integration strategy benefits all stakeholders.
Marco Verloop: ‘This new plant doubles the previous capacity to 6,000 square metres, and we have upgraded our assembly line with a new 650-square-metre clean room. Finally, our supply chain management has invested heavily to expand its network of proven suppliers in the region.’
With this new building, we have completed a major investment in manufacturing and assembly capacity, as well as in vertically integrating competencies for front-end semiconductor and analytical equipment manufacturers across the Southeast Asian market.
