In the centre of this photo is Eric Driessen, CEO of Hittech Group, engaging in a discussion on ‘The New Production Chain’ at Zie Zuid-Holland. This panel discussion highlighted three critical themes within the supply chain: innovation and scale-up, managing volatility and supply security, and attracting and retaining talent. Practical examples from OEM and supplier perspectives were discussed to offer insights into strategies and solutions for these challenges.
“The panel discussion offered several intriguing insights, “ says Eric Driessen. “With Hittech Group, we are present in Zuid-Holland and supply the Brainport region, and we observe that these areas are expanding and interconnecting with one another, which you can also infer from the speakers in the panel discussion.”
Eric: “Michel Goedings (ASML) emphasised the importance of an ecosystem in the new production chain, which makes it more organic than merely linear. For instance, the fire that affected one of ASML’s key suppliers’ production facilities several years ago resulted in one of their competitors quickly offering assistance to keep the chain operational. A mindset like this holds great potential for all of us. Another quote from the session was ‘to lead by dividing, ‘ which emphasises sharing projects and resources rather than hoarding everything for oneself.”
