MedTech

Through development and production, we effectively respond to current trends in the medical technology sector.

The medical technology market is highly regulated, and demands specialised knowledge and experience in development and production. Our German company, Hittech Prontor, has over 50 years of experience developing and manufacturing high-tech medical equipment.

We are ISO 13485 certified and FDA-approved to produce medical equipment and adhere to all relevant medical directives from the initial design phase to the final product delivery. As a result, Hittech Group can serve as an experienced partner to MedTech equipment manufacturers to outsource development, production, assembly, and testing.

Solutions

Optomechanics

We have extensive experience developing and producing optical systems that combine lenses and precision components. Our applications range from surgical microscopy and retina scanning to cataract diagnostic equipment. In our design process, we use specialised ray tracing software, such as OpticStudio. In production and assembly, we can apply advanced surface treatments and glueing techniques. As a result, detection and analysis systems have become increasingly accurate, enabling industry and science to innovate more rapidly and effectively.

Medical suspension systems

Medical equipment is often used in demanding and critical situations where a patient's life may depend on it. For instance, when positioning a surgical microscope above the operating area, the equipment must remain precisely and stably in place. Automatic balancing allows medical specialists to manoeuvre heavy equipment easily, ensuring it can be adjusted to any position effortlessly. Additionally, damping and backlash-free operation provide perfect stability during surgery. In the past decades, we have built a strong reputation in the market for these innovations.

Robotics

Recent advancements in the MedTech sector highlight robotics' growing importance. When combined with specialised software, robots can perform highly intricate tasks. For instance, multi-armed surgical robots use unique designs that ensure their movements are entirely backlash-free.

This level of accuracy surpasses what a human can achieve manually. We play a significant role in this advancement by developing and manufacturing specialised parts and assemblies that enhance robotics within the medical field.

Diagnostic equipment

We develop and manufacture high-quality optomechanical and mechatronic devices, systems, and components for demanding medical applications. Our product offerings include microscopes that support surgical procedures and optical lab microscopes for pathological research. Additionally, our solutions are applicable in hospital laboratories for various tasks, such as blood and bacteriological research and DNA sequencing.

Our solutions combine precise moving mechanical parts with the integration of high-quality optical elements. These are often enhanced by advanced digital image capture and processing techniques our customers provide. We can play an essential role in developing and producing these systems, making us an all-round manufacturing partner for OEMs in this field of the medical sector.

Development & engineering

We can play an essential role in developing medical products focusing on mechatronics and optics. We operate certified sites in the Netherlands and Germany. We design solutions for international clients in compliance with the medical device regulation. Our multidisciplinary teams consist of experts in mechanics, design for excellence, optics, electronics, and software.

We strive to achieve the desired functionality while meeting all requirements, starting from a concept, prototype, or pre-production phase. We aim for innovative, robust, cost-effective designs by combining technical expertise and market insight. Our teams communicate closely with your specialists from the outset and use our extensive production technology experience to ensure the final product meets specifications and is production-ready.

Parts production

We operate facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, and Malaysia, specialising in high-end turning, milling, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). We focus on high precision and complexity for small to medium production runs, working with materials such as titanium, aluminium, steel, and high-performance alloys.

In addition to parts manufacturing, we offer value-added services, including anodising, nickel plating, and wet coating, to comply with the most stringent surface quality requirements. Our collaboration with clients ensures optimised component design and production processes. Our manufacturing capabilities include supply chain management (SCM), assembly services, residual gas analysis (RGA), cleanroom assembly, and laser welding. For designing and producing 3D-printed parts, we partner with specialists in selective laser sintering (SLS) and direct metal deposition (DMD).

Assembly & testing

The medical technology market is highly regulated, requiring specialised knowledge and extensive experience in both development and production. We operate professional assembly facilities across various geographically dispersed locations, where we assemble products and subassemblies. To guarantee high quality, all our products undergo thorough qualification and testing using in-house qualification tooling and testing software.

We have several ISO13485-certified and FDA-approved companies and assess and propose the most suitable location for a specific job in consultation with the customer. This decision is influenced by factors such as the type of product, the technologies used, the project size, and logistical requirements.

Supply chain management

We understand that becoming a successful system supplier requires collaboration throughout the supply chain. We relieve our customers of burdens by leveraging our global supply chain, which includes suppliers with diverse competencies and specialisations. We optimise the entire chain by aligning our suppliers with our shared goals and challenges. We manage all processes and risks within our supply chain, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485. Our supply chain management also ensures that our operations can scale flexibly to meet changing customer demands. Any changes are implemented in a controlled manner to maintain a continuous supply.

Project management

Project management is a core competency at Hittech Group, and we are committed to being the best in this area. We aim to ensure that customers are so satisfied with their project execution that they want to entrust us with their next project immediately. Our project teams excel at balancing the quality of the final product, the project's budget, and the ever-present time constraints. This approach creates a competitive advantage for both our clients and ourselves.

Our success is rooted in our extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and the ongoing training we provide to our employees. Across our project teams, we actively foster a proactive attitude and promote open communication.

Materials

Our foundry specialises in sand casting complex products from high-quality aluminium alloys. With a modern production line that includes casting robots and computer-controlled sand preparation, we produce series from a few dozen to over 10,000 pieces.
