What can we expect from SEMICON SEA 2026?

SEMICON SEA starts in Kuala Lumpur on the 5th of May. It is Asiaโ€™s largest and most influential semiconductor event, and once again, we will participate in the Netherlands Pavilion and the Dutch Trade Mission. Philip Bakker, responsible for sales and marketing at Hittech Multin, has a clear agenda for the event.

Philip: โ€˜The semiconductor market is very dynamic, with periods of pause and acceleration. In the last 2 years, while we were awaiting the next Semicon ramp-up, we have continued expanding our network by attending trade shows like this one. And simultaneously, we have invested in our facilities in Europe and particularly in our production facility in Penang, Malaysia.
Our investments are now paying off as we are currently experiencing a rapid growth phase in the demand of our customers, with particular interest from the SEA market. Great to be there where it happens and to align with our customers and partners on how to materialise the challenges ahead in the coming Semicon ramp-up.’

At Semicon SEA, we introduce Jin Jeong Chua, our new commercial director for Southeast Asian markets. You can meet both him and Philip Bakker, as well as Hittechโ€™s CCO, Ralph Stassen, at the Netherlands Pavilion, booth 1542, on level 1 of the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

SEMI is the global industry association that serves the manufacturing supply chains for the microelectronic, display, and photovoltaic industries. SEMI Southeast Asia was established in 1993.

A unique trade mission to strengthen and improve the international market position of Dutch companies in Southeast Asia is organised by BOM (Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij), Brainport Industries, Oost NL, Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia.
